Project course: Slush Helsinki
Would you like to work as a volunteer at Slush Helsinki? Get 5 study points and develop useful skills and competences?
We are seeking five students with a drive to do project and event management in the startup environment. The setting for the course is Slush Helsinki where you will work in a team as a volunteer.
The participating students will be on site in Helsinki during the actual event (dec 4-5) and during few other important dates. As a volunteer you will work in different fields with preparing and executing the event.

Are you the one volunteering at Slush Helsinki? Willing to blog with your team about your experiences? Would you like to learn more about marketing, startups, event organization and work in an international setting? If yes, then it's time to apply.
We expect your CV, overview of previous studies/completed courses and link to a 60 seconds video pitch why your would be a great volunteer at Slush. The chosen candidates will be informed and a briefing of the course and the tasks will take place.

Course: Slush Helsinki Project Course
Time: 20th of October to 5th of December
Number of students: 5
Course description: During the course the student will deepen
knowledge, both theoretical and practical, in a chosen area (marketing, organization and management) through project and team work. Detailed content, including literature and theoretical approaches, will be agreed with each course participant individually. The course participants will form a team to support learning and advancement of project work. The learning outcomes are individual, but intended as increasing knowledge and understanding, as well as practical skills, in the areas of event organization and management, entrepreneurial business opportunity identification, and marketing communication. After
a completed course the student will have gained knowledge of project management in an international context and is able to take cultural aspects into account in of marketing management.
Examination: project work on site depending on area, individual literature package according to agreement, reflection paper, blogging and project report
Briefing event: attendees will be informed during week 40.
The students have to arrange accommodation and travel by themselves.
